More Info

Virkon sachets are a convenient, pre-measured 50g doses of the DEFRA approved, powdered disinfectant. One of the UK’s most popular, we use this brand and swear by its effectiveness. Virkon is DEFRA approved and it has been independently proven effective against viral, bacterial and fungal disease-causing organisms.

Virkon is dissolvable in water, use with a garden sprayer to completely deep disinfect your chicken hutch, house and run area. It is incredibly effective and will kill mites, bacteria and all known viruses.

Clean you house with our Poultry Shield first then spray with the Virkon solution. Great for keeping mites out of your wooden hen house. Dissolve the contents of one Virkon S 50g sachet in 5 litres of water to make a pink 1% solution.

Once your coop has been sprayed and washed thoroughly leave to dry for 24 hours before putting your birds back in. Repeat every 2-3 months.

“Pipinchick couldn’t have been more helpful”

Pipinchick couldn't have been more helpful, delivering our two friendly hens and some supplies we couldn't get hold of elsewhere. The birds have kept us entertained - and supplied with eggs - all summer long. If you are lucky enough to have a small garden I'd recommend a few chickens for everyone.
