Is DE safe to use on chickens?
Yes, it’s safe to use directly on chickens, hold your chicken securely and dust directly onto the chicken spreading the feathers and rubbing in until it reaches the skin, pay special attention to the vent and leg area of your chickens.
Can I use DE in my coop?
Yes, we advise using DE when your chickens are outside the coop, remove all bedding and dust into the corners, roof and floor of the coop keep the coop well-ventilated until the chickens return at dusk.
How do I know if I’ve killed the red mites?
Red mites are active at night the best way to tell is to go out at night and look at your coop with a head torch, if you see that the red mite are still active dust the coop again where you see the most activity, repeat every night until there are no more mites.

Natural Diatomaceous Earth Powder is a dessicating powder for used directly onto your hens and will naturally eliminate mites and other crawling insects.
Safe to use directly onto your hens you can apply the powder under the wings and around the vent area with this very easy to use and cleverly thought our puffer bottle. Simply squeeze the bottle and puffs of DE powder will be applied directly to your chickens.
Use for prevention or as part of a mite control treatment to reduce mites and lice in your pet poultry flock and chicken house.
